My cousin got engaged today. In my family and according to indian tradition an engagement is a family enterprise. So the whole family was gathered today for the celebration. The preparations for the engagement had been going on for weeks and my aunt family had been extra busy all day with the final touches.
The formal dress for ladies was the sari and the room was filled with the jewel like tones and glitter of saris. Then there is always the exception....me. I got to wear my lovely red dress with my shawl as a touch of glitter.
