The Mangroves at Kilim Geopark/ Mangrovene ved Kilim Geopark

The mangroves at Kilim Geopark was worth the trip - 30 mins. by taxi from our hotel and we were at the Geopark. It cost 300 MYR for the tour by boat. We saw the mangroves and eagles, sailed to the Andaman Sea to the nearby "Shoe island" and visited the bat caves - again well worth it. Once again I took way too many pictures, which is why I am sitting here at 2.30 am with the rain pouring and thunder rumbling outside - trying to do this posting. Her are some of the highlights.

Mangrovene ved Kilim Geopark var turen værd - 30 min. med taxa fra vores hotel og vi var i parken. Det kostede 300 MYR (ca. 600 kr.) for bådturen. Vi så mangrovene og ørne, sejlede lidt ud i Andaman Havet til "Sko øen" og besøgte hulen med flagermus - igen bestemt tid og pengen værd. Endnu en gang tog jeg alt for mange billeder og derfor sidder jeg here kl.02.30 mens det torden og regner som sindssyg udenfor - i forsøg på at blive færdig med indslaget.

The water monitor is perfectly suited for the enviroment. Vandvaranen passer perfekt til omgivelsen.

The Brahmin kites also known as the Red-backed Sea-eagle flying in to feed. "Brahmin kite" eller den røde havørn, flyer ind til fodring.
